Bingo is an all-time favorite game in any gaming halls and establishment. Anyone can play bingo game because of the simplicity of the game rules observed. Bingo is generally a game of chance where a card is needed that reflects the numbers to be played by the player.
The bingo card has numbers that appear on a 5 x 5 matrix printed and electronically presented. The bingo card could be either a flat piece of cardboard or a non-reusable paper containing 25 equal-sized squares arranged in 5 vertical and 5 horizontal rows. Each grid contains a number except for the square at the center which is marked as free. The numbers used is from numbers 1 to 75. The letters B, I, N, G, O are printed on the top vertical column with one number appearing in each space of the remaining grids on the card.
Numbers are assigned to belong in columns B, I, N, G , O. Number arrangements are as follows: numbers 1 to 15 belong to column B, numbers 16-30 belong to column I, numbers 31 to 45 belong to column N, numbers 46 to 60 belong to column G, and lastly the numbers 61-75 in the column O.
The equipment utilized for bingo is the 1-2 bingo blowers and 1-2 flashboards. The blowers consist of features such as a chamber that blow the balls, a small tube that will fit the rolling of ball one at a time, a master board and a slot to return the ball from the board to the chamber. With the modernization of technology, computer controlled blowers are made available that can be programmed to display specific games in a particular order commonly called session. Another is the availability of a Graphical User Interface commonly referred as GUI that operates the blower in a modernized manner.
Numbers are randomly selected and drawn with players trying to match their card numbers to the drawn numbers. The skill of the game lies in the ability of the player to look for the drawn number if it is present in their electronically printed bingo card from a specified pattern for each session. A highlighter marker is used to highlight the card numbers found to match with the drawn numbers. The first player to have the card that completes the pattern containing the drawn numbers needs to alert that they win by either shouting bingo! Or push the buzzer if it is available in the recreation venue.
Sleeper bingo is declared once another number is already drawn after which you call out or buzz that the previous number called was your last winning number. It is important for bingo players to be alert to immediately call out bingo to prevent the drawing of the next number that will forfeit your winnings. An electronic board is also used to show the number of the drawn numbers posted in corners of the gaming area for greater visibility of the players and for them to review the drawn numbers meticulously.
These paraphernalia or equipments make bingo playing more interactive and enhance the player's ability to make quality performance to be watchful of their card numbers and become efficient in calling out if they win to avoid becoming a sleeper bingo.
